What do participants do as part of the adult day program at Garden View?
a. Activity is the key.
More and more, we learn that seniors thrive and maintain their health and mental sharpness when they do meaningful activities. Garden View has developed a daily program that offers a wide array of activities designed to challenge and engage participants.
b. Activities include:
— Live musical performances: Musicians in training in the Department of Music at the University of Missouri St. Louis provide live entertainment to adult day program participants. Our mini-concerts include everything from classics, jazz, country, sing-alongs, standards, and much-much more. It’s a lot of fun.
— Marvelous meals: Program participants receive great meals prepared by Garden View staff chefs. Each table is set gracefully with china, silverware and glassware and served by waiters and waitresses in the elegantly decorated Garden View dining room. It’s dining out every day with friends.
— Outings: Program participants may take part in outings to restaurants, museums, sporting events, local fairs and events, shopping and much, much more.
— Recreation and exercise: Participants enjoy recreational activities such as walking in the gardens, exercise programs or practicing their golf swings or putting.
— Friendships: Participants make friends as they enjoy good conversation, fellowship, and adult recreational activities in our New York room
— Café and ice cream parlor: Participants enjoy coffee and snacks in the café and daily ice cream socials in the ice cream parlor
— Beauty and the barbershop: Top professionals provide hair and nail services.
